Just 1 Hour a Week …
That’s all it takes to change the life of an animal in need
Whether it’s helping animals at the ranch, picking up and organizing supplies, transporting animals, helping to get the word out, helping at events or community outreach… there is something everyone can do to help misfits in need!
You don’t need a ton of time to make a difference. We have numerous ways you can help us in our mission to save animals wounded in body and spirit:
Help out at the ranch: We have an influx of fosters and animals in sanctuary who need people to play and care for them. This includes scooping litter boxes, cleaning kennels, scooping poop and even just throwing slobbery tennis balls. You’ll need to be okay with animal hair and slobber. But your payment is the appreciation of animals who will love every second they get to spend with you.u
Help at our events: We are always in need of bodies to help out at our events including our garage sale in March, Dachshunds & Friends in Parade in June and our Halloween Party in October. You’ll get to work along side other animal advocates and have a lot of fun!
Transport: We always need help transporting animals and supplies. Our special needs animals often have appointments with specialists out of town. We also take feral cats to spay and neuter clinics outside our county to get them fixed. And we sometimes have to take supplies to fosters between Ellensburg and Yakima.
Flex your talent: We have lots of ways you can contribute your talents from the comfort of your own home. Do you like research? Maybe you can help us write grants. Have ideas for fun promotions? Maybe you can help with marketing. Like to organize? Maybe you can help us sort supplies. Whatever you are good at, we can put your talent to use!
For those of you willing to give more, we also have positions on our operations team, overseeing fosters, helping with programs like Trap Neuter and Return, and Seniors for Seniors. The more great people we have on our team, the more animals we can help!
We are also a member of the Central Washington University SLICE program, and offer internships for college students looking to apply their talents to help do good! If you can help us grow, we can help you grow!
