Petunia and her brother Papasito were victims of a disreputable breeder who kept them outside in pens their entire life. Both were completely shut down, scared to even look at people.

Petunia received her initial beginning on a new life at the shelter and came to us when we had space to take her in. Our training partners at Hounds from Hell are helping us know how to best work with Petunia.

She makes small improvements every day!

Meet Ralphie! 

This older gentleman came to us from the shelter after being found as a stray hit by a car. He had an injury to his jaw that is healing on its own but you would never know it. He walks into any room like he owns it, and up to everybody like they are his minion. 

He was pretty scruffy when he arrived but thanks to our good friend and groomer Colleen Ellis Wadey, he is now looking much more respectable. 

He will be checked out by our vets and then will be available in our Seniors for Seniors program, in which we match senior pets with senior humans and continue to pay for the animals care. 

Welcome to the misfit gang Ralphie!

Fritz and Amos are two kittens from our TNR team who came from a colony off of Wilson creek. They had bad upper respiratory infections and were extremely underweight for their age.

We didn’t have room at the time so the property owner took them in herself and took them to the vet and got them treated. She cared for them inside until we had room to officially take them in.

Now these handsome young boys are in foster care doing well and will be available for adoption soon! Thank you to the property owner who did the right thing for these babies! 

We have six newborn kittens that were recently born to a feral mama cat that we were taking in to get spayed. These little babies will all need homes when they are bigger and vaccinated.

These three Simpson kittens, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie were born to a feral mama we had in our care to have spayed. They have now weaned and their mama will be spayed and returned to where she came from. These babies will soon be ready for new homes!

This little guy named Feather came from a feral colony our TNR team has been helping. He was not doing well, so he was taken to our friends at Mt Stuart Animal Hospital who confirmed he had Neurological Feline Infectious Peritonitis (neuro Fip), a mutated feline coronavirus that attacks a cat’s brain and spinal cord. While very tricky to treat, he is getting antiviral medication, antibiotics and fluids and he’s being monitored by the head of our TNR group who is an expert kitten lady. He is doing better every day! Once stabilized and cleared by our vets, he will be looking for an extra special home.

The Jackson 5 kittens were found in the engine compartment of an employee’s vehicle at the Yakima sheriff’s department. They made the 30 minute drive to work and miraculously weren’t hurt … 4 boys and 1 girl.

They are being cared for by one of our amazing fosters and will be ready for adoption later in October.
