Every animal deserves a second chance

Our Success Stories…..

  • BRUTUS

This poor guy wandered into a woman’s yard with horrible wounds on his neck and body. His ears were horribly infected and he was a mess. That woman contacted us and offered to foster. He has since healed, but has a permanent inner ear condition that makes him fall over a lot. This adorable lug is now a permanent resident of his Good Samaritan’s home. She reports: “He is a happy guy. Walks around like a drunk bull in a China shop! Knocks things off but other than that, I couldn't ask for a better dog.” And we couldn’t ask for a better outcome. Have an amazing life big guy!

  • STUART & ELBA, NOW ELVIN

Congratulations to Stuart and Elba (now Elvin) who found their forever home together with new mamma Marie (left). Marie had recently lost her two bonded cats and felt her house was too empty without anything purring on her lap. Stuart and Elba are two of three kittens found at Anderson Hay as newborns. One of our amazing fosters bottle-fed the kittens until they were old enough to eat on their own. and also treated them for ringworm. Then another amazing foster, Carly (pictured right), took over during their crazy-kitten stage. It takes a village, and we have a great one! And now these boys will have an amazing life in their new home, where they will be spoiled and love.

  • STELLA

After 20 months with us, sweet Stella finally found her forever home with an amazing cat-loving couple in Ellensburg. August 2022, we went to the Ellensburg shelter and asked for their sickest cat. Stella had been found as a stray and was losing hair and weight rapidly. It took us almost a year to figure out it was an allergic reaction to both chicken and the environment and found a long-term medication to help her. She is one of the sweetest and most resilient cats we’ve ever known and we are so thrilled she found amazing people who love and appreciate her. Have an amazing life Stella!

  • SASHA, NOW BONNIE

Congratulations to Joey and Sasha (now Bonnie) for becoming a family! Sasha is one of 3 kittens found in the hay stacks at Anderson Hay. One of our amazing fosters and volunteers bottle-fed all of them until old enough to eat solid food, and also treated them for ringworm. Sasha is now healthy and happy and is ready for an amazing life with her new mamma, Joey. We are so happy for both of them! Thank you for choosing rescue!

  • EVA

Congratulations to Jennifer who fell in love with her foster Eva and chose to make her a permanent resident! Eva has had a rough go between being treated for Eosinophilia and then ringworm and was in isolation for months. She is healthy and happy now and has a favorite spot on a heating pad by the window. We are so grateful to Jennifer for choosing to keep Eva and for choosing rescue!

  • HOPSCOTCH

Congratulations to Hopscotch who found his forever family! This adorable purebred German shepherd was one of six orphaned puppies we took in after their mom was tragically hit by a car. Thanks to our amazing fosters and trainers, they were given lots of socialization and training and had a great start in life. Hopscotch’s new family recently lost their GSD after 10 years and they felt empty without a dog in their life. We are so happy that they gave Hopscotch a wonderful home to grow up in and chose rescue to save a life!

  • NINA, NOW SABINE

Sweet Nina (center) got her forever home with an amazing family in Ellensburg. Her big brother, Rigley, is beyond excited to have a playmate and there is already discussion as to whose bed she gets to sleep on! Her name is now Sabine and we know her future is bright. Thank you to our foster who found her as an skinny puppy, the foster who helped prepare her for this day, and the wonderful people who chose rescue! We can’t do what we do without you!

  • BERETTA

Congratulations to Beretta for finding her forever family! She is one of six orphaned German shepherd puppies we saved after their mamma was tragically hit by a car. Beretta is so smart and so sweet and got a wonderful family who have tons of dog- and training-experience and have a huge yard for her to explore with her GSD brother, Sarge! We can’t wait to see how this special girl grows into an amazing dog. Thank you to all our fosters and trainers who helped socialize Beretta and her siblings to prepare them for this moment. And thank you to Beretta’s new parents for choosing rescue!

  • WAFFLES

Congratulations to Staci Anne McNall and her family for foster failing! They fostered Waffles - one of 6 orphaned German shepherd puppies - on the condition that we wouldn’t let them keep him. Well we lied! Waffles has the most amazing disposition and fits in so perfectly with their dogs that it seemed like a no-brainer to let him stay where he’s happy and comfortable. We couldn’t think of a better home for this handsome boy and are so happy he is joining their pack!

  • RIDGE

Congratulations to Ridge for finding his forever family! His parents are pit bull lovers who recently lost their pit to cancer. They were looking for a new dog that could help them heal and Ridge was the perfect match. This boy was found as a stray in Selah and everyone who meets him falls in love. Now he has the home and love he deserves. Thank you for choosing rescue!

  • MISTLETOE, NOW MALIBU

Congratulations to Alexa and Mistletoe (now Malibu) for finding each other! Mistletoe is one of 6 orphaned GSD puppies we rescued after their mom was hit by a car. Alexa came to one of our events at Club 301 and fell in love with this girl. Alexa will be a great fur mama to sweet Malibu and now they’ll be able to create lasting, lifelong memories together. We are so grateful to Alexa for choosing rescue and giving Mistletoe the best life ever!

  • ROSIE & TIMMY

Congratulations to Mackenzie and Jack, proud new parents of Rosie and Timmy! This amazing Seattle couple has been waiting to find a bonded pair to share their life with and are so ready to be cat parents! Rosie was one of 3 pregnant calicos we saved as a feral. She lost all her kittens and also had panleukopenia - a deadly but rare virus similar to parvo in dogs. She is now completely healthy … a testament to her Foster’s amazing care. Timmy lost his brother and was not doing well when he met Rosie and they bonded. We are so glad they can stay together and are beyond grateful to Mackenzie and Jack for choosing rescue!

  • NUGGET

Congratulations to Nugget for finding his forever humans, Olivia and Brandon! We found Nugget dodging cars on highway 10 without a collar or a chip. We had him neutered and gave him a much needed dental in which they had to pull 10 teeth! He’s feeling so much better now and is the cutest little nugget ever! We are so grateful to Olivia and Brandon for giving him a great life! Thank you for choosing to rescue!

  • MAXWELL & TONI

Congratulations to John and Gail, the two newest members of our Seniors for Seniors Program. They welcomed Toni and Max - two bonded senior cats - into their home. These cats’ previous owner passed away and left them without a family. In the Seniors for Seniors program, Toni and Max will be permanently fostered by Gail and John for as long as they are able, with vet expenses and food still paid for by JMR. Gail told us she’s had cats all her life but didn’t get another one because she was concerned about what would happen to them if something happened to her. This way she can have cats and know we will take care of them if she can’t. And the cats can have a loving home!

  • GALAXY

Galaxy met her forever human, Zack. Galaxy had been dumped at the local dog park along with 5 other pack mates. What made Galaxy special though was the fact she was blind and had a skin condition on her muzzle. The shelter reached out to us as we have experience with animals like Galaxy and in finding the best fit for special needs dogs. She came to the ranch, and later to a foster, where every single person who met her fell in love with her. We wanted Galaxy to have a home where she could be the center of attention. When these two met, you could feel the instant love between them. It was clear that they were meant to be. Zack told us Galaxy was the one he was waiting for, and clearly he is also the one Galaxy was waiting for. The joy we feel for these two is immeasurable. Thank you for choosing rescue, Zack, and giving Galaxy all she deserves.

  • WILSON

Wilson is officially adopted! This big sweet lug was found running along Wilson Creek Road and brought to the shelter. He was terrified and nervous and not doing well, so we took him in. He wouldn’t get into a car, cross a threshold, and was destructive when kenneled. One of the shelter workers, Tanya, had formed a special bond with Wilson and helped us get him adjusted. Their love was apparent … and Tanya eventually decided to foster to adopt him. But Wilson was still having major separation anxiety, even hurting himself when left alone. We tried medication and training, andinally, thanks to Tanya’s dedication and patience, she found the technique that worked for Wilson. Her main concern was that he be happy. Wilson is a very lucky guy to find his perfect human, and we are so grateful to animal advocates like Tanya who refuse to give up!

  • CAPTAIN JACK

Captain Jack, who lost one of his front legs after being hit by a car, has found his forever home with an amazing couple! It took us awhile to find his perfect fit, as his injury requires some special accommodations, but it was obvious that they had fallen in love with him even before meeting him. They built a ramp at their house for him so he didn’t have to navigate stairs, are installing a special doggie door with low clearance, and purchased area rugs so he could get a better grip indoors. They also brought their dogs to a meet and greet so we could make sure everyone got along and were a good fit.

  • FRANKLIN

Franklin (left) was found as a stray in Ellensburg as a matted and neglected mess. A Good Samaritan brought him to us, and we cleaned him up and got him neutered. He now lives with his forever mom and dad, and sister Queenie! They have had cocker spaniels their entire lives and wanted another one to keep Queenie company. They make a very good looking family we think!

  • HOPE

Congratulations to Hope and her new mama Hailey! Hailey is a cat lover who fell in love with Hope’s photo. Hope joined her other two cats at her forever home. She is the last of the panleukopenia kittens to be adopted, and we are so happy for her! She and her siblings and cousins came down with the rare virus and fought to stay alive. She’s super healthy now and is ready to live her best life!

  • JACK

Jack found his forever and ever with an amazing family in Selah. They are animal advocates who were smitten with this handsome and super smart boy, and want to help him be the best dog he can be. • COOKIE, NOW CALI

Little Cookie, now Cali, has found her forever home with fosters and volunteers at the ranch! She will live with her parents and canine sister with frequent visits and care from their grand daughter and daughter. Cali was found half frozen and starved outside by one of our board members, who fed her and warmed her up. She is now thriving … and growing fast! She is a special little girl and we are so happy she found a special family!

  • TANNER & FAITH

Tanner and Faith’s new mom just moved here from Oregon and works at the chimpanzee sanctuary. She wanted some companions to help keep her company as she adjusts to her new life and we are so happy that these kids could also stay together. They had such a rough start, surviving panleukopenia - which is the equivalent of parvo in cats but more rare. These kittens have a much brighter future ahead of them now!

  • MILLIE

This sweet baby, Millie, was found with her sister shortly after birth and was struggling. Her sister did not make it, but Millie was a little survivor, thanks to the support of her amazing foster Carly (right) who did tireless bottle feedings and had to rush her to the emergency vet several times. Now Millie is a strong and sassy girl. After being through so much with her foster we were so happy when her friend - also Carley (left)- came forward to adopt her and promised lifetime visitation rights! We know Millie will have an amazing life and are so grateful her family chose rescue!

  • ELLEN

Ellen, a senior cat with allergies, found her happily ever after now that her fosters have permanently adopted her. Ellen has grown safe and comfortable with her new family over the months she’s been there and loves her routine. They decided it would be too hard on her to have to adjust to a new home so decided to keep her! We are so grateful to them for opening their hearts to this special senior and showing her the love she deserves!

  • ZOE

Congratulations to Zoe for finding her forever home with foster mama Sally! Sally, who has fostered kittens for JMR, found Zoe as a stray kitten and asked if we could help. But something about Zoe spoke to her and she decided she needed to join her family permanently. We are so happy for Zoe and so grateful to her mom for saving her!

  • GOUDA, NOW SHADOW

Gouda, now Shadow, officially got his forever family today! Gouda was hit by a car and found by one of our friends at Tieton Drive Animal Clinic who treated him for a broken pelvis. It’s clear they love him as much as he loves them! We are so happy that he is getting the life he deserves!

  • POPPY

Poppy, aka Popstar, has found her forever home with JMR alumni, Beth, and new mama, Jodi. Jodi is an amazing supporter of the ranch and has the biggest heart, especially for chihuahuas. • TYLER

Tyler found his forever humans with his fosters, sisters Carissa and Cayla! Tyler, his siblings, cousins and their mamas are survivors of panleukopenia, the equivalent of parvo in dogs, but much more rare. Carissa and Cayla spent tireless time nursing them to health and following strict cleaning and isolation protocols. This extra care made them especially bonded to these cats. Tyler in particular was calm and sweet and captured their hearts that much more. We are so grateful Tyler got such a great forever home!

  • BRANDY, NOW MAYBE

Brandy (right) has found her forever home with mamma, Katie, and older sister, Ruby, in Ellensburg. Katie was looking for a companion for Ruby and fell in love with Brandy’s adorable scruffy face and snuggly ways. We are so excited for her to become a wonderful companion to Katie and Ruby!

We know they will have an amazing time growing up and playing together. We are so incredibly happy this family chose to adopt and hope they have a wonderful life together!

  • ELVIS

Elvis has left the building! This lucky boy has two dads now to spoil him, and he’s already feeling right at home lounging on the bed and kitchen table. Elvis came to us from a woman who had to rehome him due to circumstances beyond her control. Because he’s a Russian Blue (one of our favorites) we agreed to take him in. His dads are Russian Blue fans too and have previously had this handsome breed. We are so happy for Elvis and so appreciative that his new family chose rescue!

  • RED

We are elated to announce that Red, the livestock-guardian Rottweiler whose owner died, leaving him alone, has found his forever home with his foster family! This big sweet lug won their hearts despite the fact they already have 6 dogs and didn’t think they wanted a 7th. But he fit so well into their pack they couldn’t imagine him being anywhere else. We aren’t going to lie … we secretly hoped this would happen!

  • GRACIE

Congratulations to Gracie for finding her forever home! Mama Dianne and Dad Larry were looking for a puppy to spoil and they found it in this 14-week old Yorkie mix. Gracie and brother Gus Gus were found, abandoned, by a friend of the ranch who asked us to take them in. They have filled everyone’s hearts with their adorable antics. Gracie even got new jammies out of the deal and looks cute as can be in them! We love making love connections and seeing how much humans and animals can thrive together! Have the best life Gracie!

  • ELLA

As our first Seniors for Seniors adoption, Ella got a wonderful forever home with Mary, a lovely lady who fell in love with Ella, and her husband Dennis. Ella, who is around 13, suffers from arthritis and allergies. She now gets all the attention she needs, and Mary and Dennis get a sweet companion to love. Mary adds as she too suffers from arthritis, they can better understand each other! We are so happy for both of them!

And her family is active with hunting and the outdoors which means Bella will be able to do what she loves! We are so happy this girl is getting the happily ever after she deserves!

  • TIPSY, FORMERLY THUMPER

Congratulations to Tipsy finding her forever home! Tipsy (cat) was brought to the ranch with Orca, both suffering from a bad case of ringworm. Tipsy also suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia, aka wobbly cat syndrome. A friend of the ranch adopted Orca several months ago, and when she found out Tipsy was in need of a forever home, she couldn’t resist bringing her home, too. Tupaq (center dog) found his happily ever after with an amazing family where he can play with his canine sister and cuddle with his humans (he’s an epic cuddler). This little man was found with two pelvic fractures and a leg fracture and underwent several visits to WSU and crate rest before getting the green light to be an active puppy again. During his rehab he stole the heart of Leah, one of our volunteers, and the rest of her family soon was smitten too. He fits in perfectly with their pack and is certain to only know joy from now on. Live your best life, Tupaq!

  • TIA(H)

Tiah (right) came to us as a stray puppy with a broken front leg. She was full of energy and craved attention, but had to be on crate rest for months while her leg healed. She finally got the green light to be a normal dog, but by that time one of the employees at her vet had fallen in love with her. Tiah joined another one of our favorite alumni - Schmitty (left) - to complete their family. She is now living the life every dog dreams of.

  • PATCHES

Patches, 15, was alone and despondent after his elderly owner died. A neighbor called us asking if we could take him in, and since we are a sucker for a handsome senior boy, we agreed. Patches was fostered by a recent college graduate who had a senior cat very similar to him who had passed. She and Patches formed a bond that was deep and instant, and she decided Patches was home.

  • PIPPI, NOW PHOEBE

Pippi came to us extremely malnourished and just skin and bone. Two months at her foster home had her completely turned around, with a healthy weight and coat. And we are so proud of her transformation!

He goes on boat trips and adventures with them, and cuddles up with them up on the couch at night. Way to go Grambo!

  • NALA

Nala (center) was found by a Good Samaritan after being hit by a car. She rushed her to the emergency vet who had to amputate her back leg. Nala then came to the ranch, where we quickly learned missing a leg did not phase this spunky girl, who opened doors, jumped gates, and broke out of her kennel. She went to another foster home with two pitbull playmates, and fit in so well with the family they decided she had to stay. Her smile says it all!

  • COLBY

Colby was another very nervous dog not doing well in a shelter environment and at risk for euthanasia. We took him to one of our best fosters, who through patience and love taught him to trust and be a dog again. He was adopted by a veteran who wanted a dog to go on adventures with, and who was also willing to keep working on Colby’s issues. He said that they are healing and learning from each other.

  • ORCA

Orca was also found in a feral colony as a kitten, very sick and with a bad case of ringworm. She had to spend 3 months in isolation while being treated, but came out very healthy and very loving. A friend of the ranch fell in love with her, as did her 3 year old daughter, and she became part of their family. Orca especially loves her giant Great Dane brother, who she likes to cuddle up to every night.

  • SAMMIE

Sammie came to us as a feral puppy from the Yakima Humane Society, at risk of euthanasia because no one could even touch her. She went to an incredible foster who was extremely patient and worked with her every day to build trust and confidence. Her big brother Zeus - a senior bulldog - also helped her come out of her shell. Her foster soon decided that this little spitfire needed to stay with them, and Sammie became a foster fail.

  • MAX

Max (left) was rescued from a 5 foot chain, where he was living in the elements for 2 years because his family could no longer keep him. A former ranch dog, he had never been inside or been to the vet in his 15 years. He went to a fantastic foster, who taught him the joys of indoor beds, regular meals and love. After 9 months, he found his forever family who are dedicated to showing Max the best retirement ever. Max shows us that senior dogs can still be great companions and be young at heart!

  • GEMMA, NOW NALA

Gemma, now Nala, was found dumped with her brother Mo and the Yakima Humane Society asked us to help these little guys who were too young to be away from their mamma. Nala caught the eye of a young family with two daughters who wanted to grow up with a dog of their own. They did all their research, set up puppy classes, and educated themselves about care and training. For first-time dog owners they did everything right, and now Nala is loving life with her furever family!

  • EDGAR

Edgar or “Big Eddie” as we call him, came to us from the Ellensburg shelter after he was surrendered. He was a whopping 26 pounds and was estimated to be 15 years old. We were thinking it would take a long time to place this big senior boy, but the day we got him we took him to our friends at Valley Veterinary Clinic, where one of the employees immediately fell in love. He ended up being the fastest adoption we ever had! Now he’s living the high life as king of his castle.

  • YETI

Yeti (right) was found on the side of a highway as a stray puppy when her fosters picked him up and took her home. She proved to be a perfect match for their existing GSD, and after fostering her for several months they decided to make her a permanent member of the family. She’s such a sweet and smart girl, and although the beginning of her life was rough, the rest of her story will be happy!

  • Photo of Walker and his new family.

    WALKER, NOW RINGO

Walker’s original parents got divorced and neither could keep him, so we took him in to help him find a new home and help him with some separation anxiety. His handsome good looks and sweet disposition landed him an amazing home with a dog-experienced couple in Seattle, who were looking for a playmate for their cat. Walker is now known as Ringo and is loving life with his new family!

  • Photo of Buckaroo and his sister Hazel with their new family.

    BUCKAROO

Buckaroo and his sister Hazel came to us with littermate syndrome, and were separated so they could build their own identities and so Buckaroo could build his confidence. He caught the eye of the owners of Windsong Ranch – a horse ranch – who had previously had a cattle dog named Buck. It was love at first sight, and now Buckaroo gets to help with the horses, as well as cozy up by his humans by the fire. He is finally his own dog!

  • Photo of Pepper being thankful in his new kitchen.

    PEPPER

Pepper was found as a stray in Thorp and was terrified in the shelter. No one could get near her and she was very stressed. Now she never has to worry about being scared and alone again.

  • Photo of a disabled dog with his new family.

    CJ

CJ came to use with a rare and serious autoimmune disease in which his body was attacking all his joints. We took him to WSU for treatment, but his disease was just too advanced. His amazing foster family chose to adopt him so when the time came when he was in too much pain, he would cross the rainbow bridge as part of a family and very loved. CJ loved being pulled in his wagon, playing with his kitten sibling, and laying in the sunshine.

  • Photo of Bowser with his new dads.

    BOWSER, NOW BRUNO

Bowser (now Bruno) was taken to a shelter very young after being separated from his mother way too soon. A couple with four other dogs saw him and immediately wanted him to join their pack. Being he is a high energy and high drive breed he needed a home with dog experience and people who could spend the time training him to be his best self. He hit the jackpot and is very loved! We can’t wait to see what he is like when he is a big boy!

  • Photo of Bullet with his new family.

    BULLET

Bullet (the small black dog) got his name because when he was found as a stray, he had a bullet wound in his side. He was taken to the Yakima Humane Society, and then to JMR, where he could recover and be safe. He was adopted by one of our former fosters, whose kids fell in love with him. He is now living the pampered life and never has to worry about dodging bullets again.

  • OLIVER

Oliver, 14,(pictured on the left) came to us after his owner could no longer care for him. He went to one our fosters who has a soft spot for older dogs, and his trademark tongue hanging out was so charming, her son asked if they could keep him. Now Oliver is enjoying the cushy retired life lounging on dog beds and sunning himself. And her son (pictured here) always makes sure to put water on his tongue so it doesn’t dry out. Now that’s love!

  • Photo of sisters Clove and Nutmeg with their new family.

    CLOVE AND NUTMEG

Clove and Nutmeg are sisters found as strays who were suffering from parasites and ear mites. These sweet girls were older kittens, and needed some TLC. Their foster got them healthy and they were adopted by her neighbor, whose two girls could not be more thrilled to each have a cat of their own.

  • Photo of Hazel with her new parents.

    HAZEL

Hazel and her brother Buckaroo came to us with littermate syndrome. Hazel had a hard time trusting and dealing with new situations, but with the help of a loving foster, she completely turned around. She is now living with her new mom and dad in Bellevue, where they take her everywhere they go without worry. She even flew with them to Colorado to be part of their wedding!

  • Photo of Otto with his new family.

    OTTO

Otto was abandoned with his siblings in the Yakima area and brought to an already overflowing shelter, where we took him in to help alleviate some of their overcrowding. He is a laid back boy who loves his toys and his humans. He found the perfect humans with a single mom and her 13-year-old boy, who is now Otto’s bestest friend. He is so loved in his new home, and never has to worry about being scared or alone again! Yay Otto!

  • Photo of Kevin with his new mom.

    KEVIN

Kevin is a senior fellow who craves attention. He had severe teeth problems, which required multiple surgeries in order to get him to a place where he was pain free and able to eat. Even though he went through so much, he is still a big love. His new mom couldn’t help but fall in love with his handsome face and resilient spirit.

  • Photo of Rosco being held in his new home.

    ROSCO

Rosco was found wandering the countryside, filthy and scared. He has a condition called dwarfism which means his legs are not formed quite right – along with an adorable underbite and slightly crossed eyes. He needed a mom to be able to meet his future medical needs if he requires surgery for his legs or hips in the future, and he found the perfect one. Rosco goes with his mom to work, and according to her is “absolutely perfect.”

  • HERCULES, NOW BAM BAM

Hercules came to us after his mom passed suddenly, leaving him alone and confused. While a senior, he has puppy energy and loves to play outside and with toys, but could be a bit mischievous. Due to no fault of his own, he changed fosters a couple times, until some previous adopters stepped in to temporarily care for him. It took less than 48 hours for them to decide this cute boy couldn’t go anywhere else. He went from sad and confused to absolutely joyous with his new family.

    DRAKE

Drake’s family went through life changes that required them to no longer to keep him in the house. When we took in Drake he was living outside on a rope in extreme heat, and wasn’t getting the attention and care he deserved. Once at his fosters, we found Drake to be smart and loving, and great with kids. He was adopted by a family with another black shepherd, and he now sleeps besides his little girl and his canine brother in the house every night.

    TYRONE

Tyrone and his sister Sasha (now Stella) were born on the ranch after we rescued their pregnant, 13-year-old blind mamma Pepsi. He was adopted by a couple who treat him like a king, and have an amazing fenced property. He also has a grandma who lives with him and has another puppy for him to play with. Tyrone enjoys going on sales calls with his daddy, and watching football and curling up on his mom’s lap. He is so loved, and we are so happy he found the best home possible!

    SASHA NOW STELLA

Stella and her brother Tyrone were born on the ranch after we rescued their pregnant, 13-year-old blind mamma Pepsi. Stella now lives on a farm with other animals and her very own 13-year-old boy, who saved up enough money for her care and read up on training so he could provide the best home possible for her. They are now inseparable, and she follows him around everywhere - including on his chores every morning. We rarely see a dog and human connect so deeply and suddenly as we have these two. It is pure magic!

    BETH

Beth and her brother Rip were one of 8 puppies dumped on the Naches Ridge. Beth is all attitude and keeps her new mom on her toes. She’s very smart, and a bit of a diva. She is also very sweet to her 20-year-old canine sister and helps keep her young. Her mom and Rip’s dad are friends, so while they each have their separate homes, they can also visit each other!

    RIP

Rip and his sister Beth were one of 8 puppies dumped on the Naches Ridge. They were saved by a good Samaritan who agreed to foster them for the ranch. Rip was definitely more shy than his sister, but has found new confidence with his dad and canine sister. He loves to go on car rides, help in the garden, and just snuggle in with his family for naps.

    SMITTY, NOW SCHMITTY

Smitty was found wandering the John Wayne trail in Ellensburg, and spent 6 months in a shelter before we brought him to the ranch. His days at the shelter made him distrust new people, but after a lot of love, TLC, and work with a trainer, he is an absolute love bug now. He’s also wicked smart, and knows a lot of commands. He found his forever home with not one – but two moms! They take him on adventures with them, play with him in their huge fenced yard, and speak frequently about what a perfect boy he is and how lucky they are to be owned by him!

    CASH

Cash came to us with what was thought to be anxiety issues, but really he just needed structure and exercise. With the help of a wonderful foster, he became a polite, fun, and well adjusted dog who caught the eye of a woman who was visiting the ranch. She and her husband fell in love with Cash, and he is now enjoying life in the country with his canine sister Honeybear. His favorite things are swimming in irrigation ditches and cuddling up on a comfy couch with his people or a bone.

    RAPTOR, NOW TEDDY

Raptor was born without front legs, and his owners didn’t know what to do to accommodate his needs. He came to the ranch, where we quickly learned that nothing was going to stop this little guy from living his best life. He is fearless, fun and chronically happy. He found a forever home with an amazing couple, where he can harass his canine sister, play in the grass, and work out with his dad. They are determined to give him a full life and make sure he is comfortable and safe.

  • Photo of Uhura with his new mom.

    UHURA

Uhura was found painfully thin and weak as a stray in Zillah. She was thought to have been bred and then dumped – a common problem in the area. After gaining some weight and strength at her foster’s, she found a perfect home with a student and friend of our trainer at Hounds from Hell. Now she has a canine brother, lots of room to play, and an active lifestyle her breed needs to be happy.

  • KALI

Kali was found by the State Patrol running down the highway in obvious distress. Her foster mamma took her in and called us to help her deal with her high energy and reactivity due to being on her own so long. She spent time with our trainers, and bonded with Kali as she was teaching her how to be a well-behaved dog. She decided after their journey together, they needed to stay a family. We love a happy ending!

  • BROOKE

Brooke, 8, (on the left) came to us after her owner died. She was beside herself because she didn’t know where she was and what had happened to her mom. Other rescues thought she was reactive, but we saw quickly she was just scared. Her foster mamma gave her love and attention, and soon Brooke started to feel at home again … so much so that she became a foster fail. Her brother Winston (right) is her best friend and together they are an adorable duo.
