Grant funding may not always be available, and there is a possibility that your pet's condition or situation may not qualify for the programs listed here. Here are some other options to help you cover the cost of your pet’s medical expenses:

Credit and Financing options

Credit of financing options may allow you to get the medical care your pet needs now, and schedule payments to a third party later.

Care Credit - https://www.carecredit.com/vetmed/

Your clinic must be enrolled. Apply for a line of credit, you can use this for any medical fees for you or your pets. Pay attention to when payments are due: interest rates increase if you are late

Pet Insurance

Pet Insurance is a lot like our own health insurance, but specifically for our pets. Most pet insurance plans won’t cover pre-existing conditions, so this may not be an option to cover veterinary fees that you’ve already incurred. But you can plan ahead for future medical care. Below are a few options for pet insurance. Be sure to shop around and compare policies to ensure your pet receives the coverage you want:

1. 24PetWatch - https://www.24petwatch.com/pet-insurance

3. Embrace - https://www.embracepetinsurance.com/

5. Nationwide - https://www.petinsurance.com/

6. Pet Assure - https://www.petassure.com/

7. PetFirst - https://www.petfirst.com/

8. PetPlan - https://www.gopetplan.com/

9. PetsBest - https://www.petsbest.com/

10. Trupanion - https://trupanion.com/

Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding is a way for pet owners to create and share their own online fundraising campaigns to collect the money they need from generous donors to provide veterinary care.

Waggle - https://waggle.org/ - is a crowdfunding site that is dedicated to raising money for veterinary care. Waggle may have matching funds available for some cases, and pet owners can apply for financial aid after creating their pets campaign at https://waggle.org/apply-for-financial-grant/. 100% of donations received go towards patient care.

The following sites can also be used by individuals to raise funds for veterinary care, but they may have fees associated when making a donation or collecting funds, and some may have minimum funding requirements:
