We can’t save them alone.
Thanks to our community partners, we don’t have to.
Club 301 is a major supporter of the ranch, sponsoring Dachshunds & Friends on Parade, as well as other events to raise money for animals wounded in body and spirit. Their fantastic new patio is also a regular location for our animal meet and greets and adoption events - where people can enjoy a delicious cocktail in the sun while petting some amazing dogs who are looking for their forever home.
Ponderosa Construction

Ponderosa Construction is a residential and commercial contractor specializing in carpentry, trim carpentry, interior and exterior paint and tenant improvement projects.
Buddy’s Barkery is Josie’s favorite place to go for treats, gifts and accessories. Baker Tim is one of our favorite people, baking up Buddy Cookies daily to sell, with proceeds benefiting the ranch. Buddy’s also donates part of its profits to the ranch every third Thursday of the month. You can also stop by the Barkery to buy a Josie’s Misfit Ranch T-shirt or to drop off a donation to animals wounded in body and spirit.

Excel Plumbing values honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship and offers a wide variety of services.
Coldwell Banker Central helps raise awareness about JMR and about animals in need through promotional campaigns. They also host supply drives, where you can drop off your donations at their office that will help us help our animals.
One of their amazing realtors, Nicole Prigge-Taylor, also donates to JMR (and others) whenever she sells a house.
Heidi Matson Photography has supported several JMR events with her amazing photography, and is also the brains and sweat behind Pooch Playoffs, a fundraiser for area pet rescues. People can vote on their favorite pooch (or cat) in a bracket-style contest, with the winner getting amazing prizes from local pet-friendly businesses.
Bobbin Robin has a huge heart for animals and often donates her amazing pet beds and blankets to rescues to give animals a little extra love and comfort. All our animals love the extra care and craftmanship Robin puts into her designs. You can also find some of Robin’s products at our events - either at silent auction or being raffled off.
Legends Casino gives more than $1 million in grants to its surrounding communities each year, and JMR received $5,000 in 2023 that helped pay medical bills for our misfits. We are grateful to them for not only supporting us, but for helping other organizations to strengthen our communities!
Madd Hatters Haunt
208 Ahtanum Rd, Yakima
Halloween is our favorite holiday at JMR, and Madd Hatters Haunt is THE place to go to get your scare on. Their motto is “We Scare Because We Care” as they donate to dozens of charities each year and allow volunteers to raise money through volunteer hours for their organizations. In 2023, Madd Hatters, along with Coffee at Tiffany’s in Selah, gave JMR $2,000 from proceeds on their kid-friendly day.
The owners of Ellensburg Pet Lodge donated a much-needed incubator to help us save newborn kittens whose chances of survival are slim without a way to regulate their temperature. The Pet Lodge also takes in some of our fosters when their regular fosters are out of town. We appreciate their support!
NW Mortgage LLC has chosen JMR as one of three recipients of their Dream Big Charity Event each fall, which raises money for local charities. It’s a great family event that supports great causes in the community! In 2023, NW Mortgage gave $2,000 to JMR to help us save more animals wounded in body and spirit!
Tito’s Vodka has a history of loving animals, and brand themselves as the vodka for dog people. We can concur this is accurate, as they have helped support the ranch by hosting events as well as donating $1,000 to help us help more animals.
Pals4Paws is an amazing non-profit that helps small, rural rescues like ours. They were able to donate $2,000 directly to our vets so we could help some of our most concerning cases. Please consider helping them, so they can help other rescues!
The City of Ellensburg has granted us $2,800 to help educate our fosters and others on responsible pet care. We are launching the program in 2024 and look forward to helping strengthen the bond between humans and animals through this program.
The Ellensburg Downtown Association has helped support the ranch by promoting our events and allowing us to take over their Dachshunds and Friends on Parade event. We love hosting events downtown, where there is a growing, vibrant collection of great restaurants, and unique stores.
